Keeep asking us to participate in this event and then she herself didn't follow the class's theme, zzzzz.
and there were 7 absenteees today, and taht's whoppping whoa!
still, Lesssons are conducted 'cause we're sec 4 le, so no privilege.
But still, i'm only happy that mrs chng is back! :D
And now, my chem lessons won't be wasted with ._____. :X
don't 4/2 peeeps agreee that we learn more from mrs chng rather than from .______.? haha.
Bio skill 3 is really succky laaa, do so many draft, urgh! dreads.
Had picture discussion for the first period of eng and presentation during the next period.
And I, unfortunately or luckily, I got picked today and presented my HAUTE COURTURE (:
I don't think I did a great job in the contents, couldn't express myself well, haha.
And i didn't refer to any of my prepatory notes! :D
but that is also why i missed out some contents.
    okay, here are some.

Dependant on the Haute Couture design house and the garment, the cost of a couture item runs from about £10,000 to £40,000 and often beyond that figure. A Chanel couture suit for example in 2002 might have cost £20,000. By mid 2004 an evening frock cost £50,000. If you are not rich it's hard for an individual to understand why the price is so high, but it's for service, workmanship, originality of a unique design and superb materials of the finest quality.
In addition the client would get a perfection of fit only achieved by painstaking methods of cutting and fitting to the client's body.

The manual labour needed to produce a garment this way takes between
100-150 hours for a suit and up to 1000 hours for an embellished evening dress.
The evening dress might have thousands of hand sewn beads probably done by the
    expert.
A couture house like Chanel for example will have about 150 regular
clients who buy couture and a house like Dior will make about 20 couture bridal
    gowns a year.

The fabrics available to the couture house would be very luxurious and include the latest novelty fabrics and expensive silks, fine wools, cashmeres, cottons, linens, leather, suede, other skins or furs. In the case of a famous design house the design and colour of a cloth, may be exclusively reserved for that couture house.

The actual term haute couture is protected by law and according to the Syndical Chamber for Haute Couture "only those companies mentioned on the list drawn up each year by a commission domiciled at the Ministry for Industry are entitled to avail
themselves thereof". The criteria to which a fashion house must adhere in order
to be categorised haute couture were laid down in 1945 and updated in 1992.
These rules are simple, to be designated as haute couture a minimum of
fifteen people must be employed at the workshops and must present to the press
in Paris each season (spring/summer and autumn/winter) a collection of at least
thirty-five runs consisting of models for daytime wear and evening wear.
The golden age of haute couture dates back to the fifties, but today there are only
10 houses of haute couture in France: Adeline Andre : Emanuel Ungaro: : Chanel:
: Christian Dior : Frank Sorbier : Givenchy : Christian Lacroix : Dominique
Sirop : Jean Louis Scherrer : Jean Paul Gaultier

Haute Couture is the said to be one the most exclusive “clubs” someone can belong to. To own a piece of Couture is a very special privilege that most people cannot do.

Haute Couture has a come very long way and has seen many ups and downs throughout history but it has always managed to stay strong. Whether we choose to believe it or not, Haute Couture has a strong influence on what the rest of the world is wearing on a daily basis. It brings inspiration to designers all over the world.
It is not just a garment; it is a piece of art. (:

okay, i know it's a whole chunk lot but really, haute courture is a love for elegance and ophistication (:
so, whether you want to read or not, it's up to you (:

Had the BGSS IDOL during the concert and one of the judges is MR AZAHAR!

with mabel, michelle, cass and vian behind respectively.
Songs like hero, teardrops on my guitar, when there was me and you, stick with you, SOS, I believe I can fly, the second last song and accidentally love.
well, the singers were great, except occasional off notes that were floating in the air, the atmosphere was still goood.
and mr azahar coments v funny laaaaa!
Some of The teachers also sang 'top of the world', and then the syf performers performed the song 'In Synergy'.
okay, this part is super super super funnnny!
their moves were repeated and so, somehow if you watch closely enuf, you would have memorised the steps,
